24 Hour Control Centre
Professionally trained, experienced operators man Ballid’s Control Room based in Howick. They are friendly and customer oriented, as well as efficient. They respond quickly under pressure if faced with extremely serious, sometimes life threatening circumstances. They have the training and experience to be able to follow procedure regardless of pressure. (i.e.: by dispatching armed response, medical and other emergency services and trauma support personnel).
Our control room is equipped with “state of the art” recording equipment, which ensures that all telephone calls, as well as all radio traffic is recorded and logged. It is predominantly utilised as a point of contact for clients, guarding divisions, our technicians and the armed response officers.
Our control centre has back-up generators as well as battery banks and UPS, ensuring that the control room keeps operating, regardless of outside “hick-ups”. In addition, our control centre has been constructed to meet, AND exceed all security industry specifications.

Armed Response
We have highly trained response officers, based throughout the Midlands area, fully equipped to handle any situation. Four of our response vehicles are based in the Nottingham Road/ Mooi River area. This is to your advantage, as the response vehicles are strategically posted at various stand-off points ensuring a quick response.
All our vehicles are fitted with a GPS Tracking system to monitor all their movements. (Monitored “live” by Ballid control room staff). Vehicles in Gated Estates are controlled by creating a boundary around the perimeter of the Estate. Once the vehicle exits through this boundary, the Control Room operator is notified by an SMS alert.
Ballid has been servicing the Nottingham Road/ Mooi River area for fifteen years, and has a vast knowledge of the area, and a very well established informer network system in the Midlands area.
We have highly trained response officers, based throughout the Midlands area, fully equipped to handle any situation. All our response officers are trained and certified in basic first aid and fire response.
Feeding & maintenance of the dog shall be the responsibility of Ballid.
